"Beautiful forested park, restrooms, picnic tables, easy walking, lots of trail options (many are marked; see photo), incredible rhododendrons, dog-friendly. Set next to the Merrimack River, with other water features inside the park. People ride their horses there. Driving: Be careful of Google Maps -- its GPS will tell you to turn into the rock wall or pedestrian path across of the parking lot. Parking: $5 ($20 non-Mass.), but free with a Mass. Senior Parking Pass ($10 for 62+ age, good for life)."

John Smith

"Gorgeous large estate turned state park. Many trails to explore and experience various types of plants and wildlife. We saw rhododendrons that were at least 25’ tall!! So many buildings and gardens it kept us busy for 2 hours and we didn’t see half of the park. We saw some interesting buildings that we didn’t know what they were used for so that was fun to guess!! Definitely going back in the near future!"
