What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Blatnick Park is appreciated for its diverse amenities, including a playground, sports courts, and trail access. Visitors enjoy the green space and opportunities for recreation. However, some areas, particularly the playground and splash pad, could benefit from more consistent upkeep, and trail signage can be confusing. The park can also get quite busy, which may be a consideration for families with very young children.
"This is a great park. It has a playground, nice tennis courts, a dog park, several ball fields, a hockey rink, and a volleyball court. It also has easy access to a great paved running /biking trail. A nice place to stop if you want to spend some time outdoors."

"It was very nice park lots of people I was at the Pavilion for child's birthday party. But I did notice was near the Pavilion was a very small playset that was metal the squeaking of the swings was quite annoying and the metal part to climb on could really use some touch-up paint. Going in the other entrance the splash area was very cute, however the ice rink area definitely needs attention a lot of broken plastic on the sides. I'm sure when this was first built it was quite lovely. But it does need some upkeep. Jeff was an amazing Greco-Roman wrestler and having this part in his name they can't do him a disservice by not keeping it pristine."

"Passed through this park while riding the Eire Canal Trail, hit a minor snag in this section as there are 2 trails, and the signage at the bottom of the his does not specify which way bike traffic should go. As it turns out both routes are valid, but it appears that the lower trail has been abandoned and is just being left to crumble.
The new hill path is nice and you can see Lock 7 in the distance."
