What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors express frustration over the park's prolonged 'temporary' closures, with many finding it inaccessible. When open, the museum is praised for its informative exhibits on the Hoosic Tunnel and local history, and the surrounding natural beauty is appreciated. Dining at the nearby Freight Yard is also a positive point.
"I am absolutely fed up with this “State Park” being “temporary “ closed! It has been over 2 years it has been “temporary “ closed.
Maura Healy and her “effeciant “ state government. One and done in my book."

"This was my second time visiting the museum which is a bit hidden in the center of the park (building 4) but worth finding. This time I brought my dad, an engineer who was interested in learning more about the building of the Hoosic tunnel after reading "Buried Dreams." The same knowledgeable park ranger, Robert Campanile, was there with the same enthusiasm about the building of the tunnel and the town of Adams. The film portrays the fascinating true story of the building of the tunnel. I also enjoyed learning more about trains a d the local area We also ate at the Freight Yard which was very popular and quite tasty."

A year later, 5/13/25, and it’s still “temporarily closed”
Absolutely useless department that is running this circus!"
