What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The North Port Farmers Market is appreciated for its friendly vendors, fresh produce, and specialty food items like pickles and baked goods, creating a pleasant, festival-like atmosphere with live music. However, its limited Friday-only schedule and potentially higher prices are noted drawbacks for some visitors.
"Smallish in size yet it had a little of everything. Loved the two well appointed vegetable stands as well as stands with home baked bread, olives, and cheeses. Some crafts and a meat truck and fish. Next week I'm having donuts for breakfast there and lunch!!! I may have missed an important stand but you won't when you go there on Friday."

"Since this farmers market is only open on Fridays during season I have only visited once. I'm usually at work on Friday mornings, as are many people in North Port. From what I saw it was a very nice market with a good variety of vendors but the poor choice in day is a deal breaker for me. I'm very happy the North Port High School has started the Bobcat Market on Saturday mornings for all of the weekday working population to enjoy."

"I feel bad giving a poor rating because I'm aware that this is a catch 22. More vendors would come if there was better traffic, but I don't like to go because there are not enough vendors.
After my trip today, it's obvious that the only way someone can make money there is to have high prices. But I'm not paying $3 for 3 peppers, $3 for 4 ears of corn or $7.50 for a quart of strawberries. Detwiler's is a bit of a drive, but their prices and produce selection are much better.
Many other types of vendors, but nothing I'm interested in."
