"The Meadows is a real gem, here in Northampton. Old Springfield Road runs through it. It is a part of Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. There is a lot of diversity of habitat, for birds and animals. It is a great place to walk and birdwatch and is used and enjoyed by many. Keep in mind that it is a sanctuary, so watch your speed and respect the area. I have seen many deer, all kinds of ducks and geese, eagles, beavers, orioles and more. It's a nice place to get away and catch a breath!"

"Careful where you park. While parked on the side of the road with our telescope- we were yelled at by a land owner. I looked at the parcel records and thought it was all town/conservation land but there is a small strip that is privately owned."
