What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the exceptional knowledge and patient instruction offered by dive center owners and instructors, leading to high confidence in advancing diving skills. The availability of a deep pool for training is also a significant plus. However, some guests have encountered unhelpful staff, and a few suggest that gear selection might be better at alternative shops.
"Oh my gosh I can't say enough about how great this shop is! Todd the owner is phenomenal! He seems to know everything there is about scuba diving and more. The knowledge, the extensive options for all levels and brands of equipment, all the different services and courses they offer, and my experiences in the Rescue Diver and drysuit courses with their instructors has me feeling so confident that this is the shop I want to stay with to advance up to being a diving instructor. Patient, kind, understanding, definitely a peoples shop, a deep 12 ft pool, this place has it all!! I am constantly recommending this Dive shop and you should too!"
Lisa Pressgrove (Hannah)
"Would recommend another shop if you’re looking for gear, found that Marine Dive nearby had better selection and way more used gear.
Low rating though was for the bizarrely unhelpful and disinterested lady working the shop the other day. Watched me silently from the back counter while I looked around without offering help or alerting me that she was watching me, gave no information to any of my questions. Very odd experience for a local dive shop"
Logan Thompson
"Great instructors.
I got certified last year.
My son was to young. He got to learn in the kids class. He is excited to return this May for the kids certification program."

Choosing Your Dive Certification
For those seeking more technical or specialized training, SDI (Scuba Diving International) is another reputable agency. Some dive centers may also offer RAID certifications. When choosing a dive center, consider their affiliation with these agencies and the specific courses they highlight. For instance, some resorts in colder regions might emphasize drysuit certification due to the water temperatures.
Key takeaway: Research the certifications offered by your chosen dive center and ensure they align with your diving goals. Don't hesitate to ask about instructor qualifications and class sizes to ensure a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
The Allure of Beachfront Dive Resorts
These resorts often provide a holistic vacation experience. Beyond diving, you can expect amenities such as infinity pools with sunset views, on-site restaurants and bars, and water sports. This means that even when you're not exploring the underwater world, there are plenty of ways to relax and enjoy your tropical getaway. Instagram reels frequently showcase these idyllic settings, highlighting the blend of luxury and adventure.
Considerations: While beachfront access is a major draw, research the specific dive conditions and marine life in the area. Some locations are renowned for specific encounters, like the thresher sharks in Malapascua, Philippines, making them a prime destination for dedicated divers.
Family-Friendly Dive Adventures
Beyond diving, family-friendly resorts often feature amenities like kids' playgrounds with beach access, shallow swimming areas, and a variety of water sports that the whole family can enjoy together. This ensures that everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, has an engaging and memorable vacation.
Tip: When booking, inquire about the age requirements for specific dive programs and discuss any concerns with the dive center staff to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for your children.
