While I’ve stayed at the campground many times and always enjoy it you can also come for the day for $15! You can bring food with you and grill on the charcoal g...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Ocala Wetland Recharge Park for its beautiful, man-made wetland ecosystem and abundant birdlife. The free admission, clean facilities, and educational aspects are frequently highlighted as positives. However, some visitors were disappointed by the no-dog policy, which they felt should be more prominently advertised. Occasional trail closures due to storm damage have also been noted.

"Thought it would’ve been a nice spot to take a walk after driving hours down I75. Wouldn’t have drove 20 minutes off the highway if I knew they didn’t allow dogs.. Should be in their description if that’s one of the rules."

"Great park for a pic nic or a nice walk. They have some informational activities for children which makes it a good field trip if you homeschool. They appeared to have many paths gated off due to storm damage, but it was still enjoyable. Bathrooms are very clean. Grounds are clearly well cared for. The entrances are on NW 21st Ave and NW 21st Street. Follow park rules and you probably won’t have any trouble with gators. Probably."

"Very nice man made wetlands. See some alligators, great white egrets, great blue heron, little blue heron, several song birds, turtles, coots…. Wonderful educational stations. Cool educational tunnel with cool art. Boardwalks are super nice. Path is nice around the property. Beautiful tress and plants growing. Lots of pollinators. Wish I lived closer to visit more often. Super clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. Most importantly- free to visit."
