How bike friendly is OCMD?
My husband, 3yo and I are going to OCMD next week. We like to ride our bicycles and use them for transportation around our neighborhood at home. We’re staying in north OC (around 90th St) and it occurred to me that our bikes might be a good way to get around to restaurants, down…

Any source of good road bike routes in the area?
I'm planning on riding from OC to Assateague and back for one ride, and wondering if there are some other similar length (20-40 miles) rides in the area. Maybe just heading north towards Bethany and back? Is the road safe enough to ride on if I head out fairly early (630-7am)?…
Possible Bike Route from Ocean Pines to OC?
Are there any bike routes from Ocean Pines to Ocean City that anyone knows about? I know there is the bridge into OC but I believe it is illegal to walk/bike on it.

Anyone know of any trails near Ocean City, MD?
Hey all, I'll be down in Ocean City for the first time this week for my school's senior week, and am looking to bring one of my bikes (Either road or the mtb) and am wondering if anyone knows of any trail systems near by? Trailforks and mtbproect aren't showing much, but I…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Haven Avenue Bikeway for its scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere, offering a welcome escape from crowded areas. The well-maintained path and separation from traffic are highlighted as major positives. However, the lack of shade and some steep climbs are noted drawbacks for unprepared visitors.
"A couple of steep climbs and straight runs. Beautiful scenery all along! Pause and check out the rookery over the side when you pass the Welcome Center."
Jim McHugh
"Very nice path, with a wide -ish path for bikers and pedestrians. While the cars are pretty close by, there is a divider separating you from them and I felt pretty safe. Perfect for a nice run, walk, or birdwatch."
Lynn Monday
"Great place to bike or walk. There is a separation from their roadway and it's well maintained. The walkway is concrete and relatively flat for stretches. Be aware that it is about 2.8 miles in length and there is no shade. If you are unprepared or physically incapable of making that trek, then you should consider parking by the visitor's center on the bridge. That way, you can walk as much as you can and then walk back to your vehicle."
