Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Ogden Nature Center for its beautiful grounds, engaging animal exhibits, and friendly atmosphere. The birds of prey section is a standout highlight. However, some find the mosquito population to be a significant deterrent, particularly during warmer months and near water.

"Definitely bigger than what I thought! As far as covered land. The bird, reptile, rabbits, tortoise and more all have great exhibits, telling their story. Along with trail walks, education programs, events and more. I just happen to go during their 50th anniversary 🪶 it was awesome!"

""Dude, did we PAY to get mosquito bites!"
"They are sucking my soul!" -my kids

The swarms of mosquitoes by the thousands definitely made our time here less enjoyable. There are a lot of shady areas near water. We actually ran through the paths just to get away. It was about 10:30 am at the beginning of June. It was a pretty place but that part was just awful. Out in the sun they didn't seem as bad.

On a positive note, we loved the birds of prey section. The bald eagle and owls were amazing to see. The birdhouse path was also another favorite. We liked to see all the creative bird houses."

Jenna Farnsworth

"Love this place! The trails are beautiful, the staff is friendly, events are fun, and in general is just a very welcoming environment to be in."
