Reviews Summary

Horn Canyon Trail offers a rewarding, moderately challenging hike with beautiful shaded sections and exciting creek crossings. While the initial part of the trail can be less appealing due to litter, the scenery significantly improves, and the rocky scrambles are a highlight for many. It's a great spot for wildlife viewing, especially in cooler months, though parking can be limited.

"Trailhead is down the street from the Thatcher school. There is limited street parking, which was not an issue since there was only one other hiker at 9 am that Saturday. The first 20 minutes of the trail is not very nice, trash everywhere, but there are helpful signs to keep you on the trail. After that it's much nicer and cleaner. Most of the trail is shaded and there are 4 creek crossings. After that, it starts to climb and there's much less shade. Turned around after an hour, overall a decent, moderate trail with light traffic."

"Love it here in the fall and winter. Great spot to check out. Lots of wildlife. Look for animal paws on the trail. There was fresh bear scat when I went there. Did not see many hikers here during the week."
