What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the convenience of snorkeling near the shore and the well-maintained beach facilities, including restrooms and picnic areas. However, some find the reef difficult to locate without clear markers and note that marine life can be seasonal, with fewer fish reported in winter.
"Easy to find with GPS. Well Marked, smaller parking lot. Has clean bathrooms at the entrance to the beach, as well as covered picnic area, outside showers and posted info about the reefs and flag colors. There are also chair and umbrella rentals. The dunes and beach are well maintained & Lifeguards on duty. Beautiful and peaceful, even with all the condos. Can also see and walk to the Boardwalk."

"It's pretty easy to find if you stay straight out from the white pole the flagpole . And swim out as far as the end of the pier and it's almost exactly right there. I saw six submerged poles with big burly objects around them covered with barnacles in various sea vegetables. this was on February 3, 2025. They were very few fish 🐠. As I was leaving, some local on a paddleboard came by and said "you won't see much around this time of year "."
POST BMT
"I tried to find the artificial reef last December but never found it. I tired again this week and after a couple of sweeps I was able to find it. Plenty of fish in the area. It would help if there was some sort of marker, on the shore it said straight out from yellow flags, I could have missed it though as I didn't look too hard."
