Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the State Firefighters Museum for its impressive collection of antique fire engines and historical memorabilia, offering a fascinating glimpse into firefighting history. Families particularly enjoy the interactive kids' area and outdoor photo opportunities with fire trucks. While some note the museum's size is compact, the affordable admission and wealth of exhibits make it a highly recommended and worthwhile visit for all ages.

"My husband and I brought our children here, thanks to our local library for making passes available to library members! We enjoyed coming to tour the museum with all they have to see! From old antique fire engines, to uniforms, patches, pull hoses, and much more inside! Outside they have several fire engines for children to be able to look around closely (and respectfully) and take photos with. They also have a picnic area and a playground which my children very much enjoyed. I highly recommend coming!"

"We were the only visitors early Saturday morning right after they opened, so there was no wait or a line. From the outside it is a very large building but once we were inside, I was surprised at how small the museum area actually was. Luckily the fee to enter is small. The contents are very impressive. The sheer amount of antique fire engines that are pristinely restored is enough to knock your socks off. There is firehouse memorabilia and artifacts everywhere the eye can see and beyond. They even have a kids area with themed coloring pages and toys that they can play with. My four year old especially loved playing with the toy fire trucks. The museum also includes a modest gift shop area with reasonably priced souvenirs. You can spend a good couple of hours pouring over each item and reading all the information posted. Out front is a playground and a couple more fire engines that you can climb on for some really cute photo ops."

"After my test took a little trip to the Oklahoma fire fighter museum. Only $6 per adult half off for firefighters I highly recommend stopping in. They will also trade a challenge coin for a dept patch I plan to bring one next time I’m in OKC for Poole Community Fire & Rescue. They are also expanding and will have more engines and trucks."
