"You are better off in a boat. I tried hiking the area and ran into thick mud, plenty of ATV tracks that did not lead to a hiking trail and didn't find a single blaze. Why four stars? It felt a bit like an adventure and although never really lost, we had to turn around several times when we hit a dead end (no goat path through the saw palmettos). The hike got only under way when we moved to the western edge of the wilderness and followed the well maintained trail to Mobbly Beach."
