What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Capitol Lake Park is a well-maintained urban oasis offering scenic views of the State Capitol and a peaceful environment for walks and relaxation. Visitors appreciate the convenient free parking and the pleasant loop trail, though some note it's not geared towards water sports. The park is a lovely spot for enjoying nature and capturing beautiful reflections, especially during the evening hours.
"This was really nice. There is parking around the park. But also Olympia parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays, which made it very convenient. I walked around the whole lake in about 30 minutes. It’s interesting that it seems to be very much not an activity lake. There is no way to get into the water for paddle boarding or any other kind of water sports. It seems very nanny like to also have signs about how the shock of cold water can kill. I mean, really. Should we be scared of lukewarm water now? but anyway it was a nice place. I recommend walking around it particularly in the evenings when it’s not as hot."
