A hard day made harder. Today I tackled Mission Creek - an infamous section of washed out trail that a lot of people have been skipping. I’m confident on technical and off-route trails so I was super keen to head in! It wasn’t too difficult and I had a lot of fun through the section. After Mission Creek there is a turn off the PCT towards San Gorgonio Peak - Southern California’s highest mountain...

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Mission Creek Nature Park for its beautiful, wild trails and abundant nature, including berry patches and wildlife sightings. The park is a hit with families and solo explorers alike, offering a peaceful escape. However, parking can be challenging due to its residential location, and trails can be muddy and overgrown, requiring appropriate footwear.

"Absolutely breathtaking trails, full of skinny, over-grown trails. Lots of berry varieties growing! I had the pleasure of seeing 4 owls while here. The trails are a very easy walk with lots of different paths.

The only downside is that this is in a residential area at the end of a dead-end street with no parking. I just parked across the street from houses, along the forest."

Samael “Sylph” Bleuel

"There are so many different paths here, and blackberries as far as the day is long. Pretty sure we heard an owl, but I couldn't visually identify it."

Shane

"Obviously it's winter time. So it was pretty muddy in places. But most of it was still good. My kids had a blast despite the rain. It was pretty. And there's many trails."
