"If you’re a Paramedic hoping to advance with Creighton’s Critical Care program and you earned your medic through a hospital-based, NREMT-accredited program, save yourself the trouble. I met every requirement, yet the enrollment office fixated on the lack of a “traditional transcript” — as if modern healthcare education hasn’t moved beyond paper trails.
My program, based at a Level 1 Trauma Center, sent the documentation directly. I personally reached out to the EMS program multiple times. They stated they had their hands tied. I even contacted the President’s office. The result? Silence. Indifference. A complete unwillingness to engage.
For a university that markets itself as forward-thinking, the rigidity and lack of responsiveness are incredibly disappointing. Having been stationed at Offutt and having earned my Bachelor’s from Bellevue, I expected Creighton to rise above bureaucratic box-checking. Instead, they’ve shown they care more about outdated processes (or perhaps they think the pennies I'd bring to the school just aren't shiny enough) than about advancing today’s healthcare professionals.
