"Established in 1894 the Graber olive Co. has been canning olives using the same methods and equipment since day one with only a few minor changes (the boilers are now natural gas operated instead of wood) the olives are also no longer growing on this property but 70 miles away “both properties have been owned and operated from the beginning and are now run by the 3rd. Gen.
They only can 1 to 2 months out of year (depending on the harvest) and hire high schoolers to do the manual canning although they have noticed a decline in high school participation in the recent years with more older people applying for jobs.
The family gives free tours “our Docent has been working for the family for more than 30 years!”
There is and old main house that is still lived in with a well in the front yard. This place is a true time capsule that is still going strong “so cool”"
