Elevators in Washington County
Weird ask- I am creating a list of any and all elevators that can be accessed by the public in Washington County. Forest Grove and Hillsboro are best. Beaverton is OK, too. I will travel to Portland or Tigard for an elevator that is extra special, like if it has a unique feature…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Oregon City Municipal Elevator for its unique status as the only outdoor municipal elevator in the US and its stunning panoramic views from the observation deck. The free admission and proximity to Willamette Falls are also significant draws. Some note the elevator itself is a simple mechanism, but the overall experience and historical context are highly valued.
"My guess is that people come here expecting some kind of grand contraption, but —-hate to burst your bubble —- it’s just a regular metal box with doors, pretty generic inside, that goes up and down when you push a button.
Don’t get me wrong, the tunnel entrance to the elevator ground floor is pretty cool, and after the ride up (one floor only) you exit into a wild, spaceship-looking circular glass observation deck at the top that hangs over the city, giving you bird’s eye, 180 Degree views of the area.
But at the end of the day, it’s a functional elevator. It’s the only outdoor municipal one in the US, but still.
Also, there is a nicely-designed but long-ish stone stairway you can take as an alternative.
Bonus: mini-waterfall at the top of those stairs"

"Very cool place to visit. When you first cross the street to the entrance, there's a moment you feel like you're about the enter a time machine. There's a certain feel about it.
The elevator works as it should and it's a direct, fast ride to the top. Once there, you see a panoramic view of the what below, and beyond. Definitely check it out.
From there, you can exit and go for a short stroll.. Lots of green space in the neighborhood area where you are free to picnic and relax."

"Elevator worked as expected! Very useful and fun. The construction at the top part was pretty loud but that’s not the elevators fault. I totally recommend this elevator for getting up the hill instead of taking the streets. 10/10 overall would ride again."
