Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Orange County Public Library for its vast collections, impressive architecture, and wealth of free resources, including a popular bookstore and engaging children's area. While most experiences are positive, some patrons have encountered issues with staff or security, though these appear to be isolated incidents.
"Orlando, FL. It’s got four stories of art exhibits, a cafe, sections of items for every interest imaginable, and museum-quality historic exhibits! Plus people at the desks are helpful and can answer questions about programs and aid for the community.
The word “vast” comes to mind when I recall their collections.
My favorite part of this library was the Friends of the Library bookstore, where they sell discontinued library books, donated trade books, fun book-themed pins, posters, clothing and cards, plus vinyl records, magazines, cds and more!
Most of all, I loved the staff in the bookstore. They were about college-age and sweet. Real individualists.
If you want to learn about Orlando past and present, this is your go-to destination.
There is a current program where you get free parking in the street twice through an initiative called Save Orlando. That’s what one of the people at a desk on the 3rd floor told me.
I parked on the garage across the street for about seven dollars for two hours.
If you want free parking, you can park about a mile away on the street east of Lake Eola for two hours. I park by the playground of the park. Hot foot it over to the library and back, because the meter watchers do patrol that street. But that is where I usually park for a visit to the area, and I’ve never had a problem.
Bring your kids! They have a lot of programs for youth at this library."

"Beautiful building, lots of space inside, lots of activities to engage for all ages, although especially with children. Nice second hand book and dvd store with interesting material for a fair price. Very well labeled by topics and with extra merchandise for sale."

"On Monday, November 17th 2025.
The manager told police who tried getting me tresspassed from a public library.
They tried claiming and made fraudulent statements to the police fraudulently claiming that I was allegedly "disrupting business".
Because individuals robbed me and returned my identification cards that the individuals most likely took pictures of and committed id theft with.
The library absolutely refuses to give me information about who had my id cards that were stolen out of my possession.
The police claimed I wasn't robbed although I was robbed and those people are all insane.
They also disrupted me getting information to the courts.. as I should have simply never been robbed, no one should have had my id cards I should have simply been able to print my documents to give to the courts and that should have been the end of it.
Instead I was belittled, profiled and discriminated on for being a victim of a crime and then asked to leave a public library who refused to give me information about who had my id cards that they gave to them. Which is all illegal and I am a victim of a crime. Yet the police wrongfully arrested me in July of 2025 because I a victim/witness of crimes
For some reason I am being prosecuted by the state of Florida for me being a victim witness of crimes that they either prosecuted other individuals or refused to do so. Because I went to school, went to my places of employment, landlords broke my leases I had, people vandalized my vehicles and robbed me, ect.
These people are insane. Honestly.
You cant prosecute someone and not provide full accurate information to the courts.
Full accurate information still needs to be given to law enforcement and the courts.
The refusal to even let me review it evem though it pertains to me is even illegal itself.
P.s I have paid for my own laptops, printers, paper and ink and paid my own rent that landlords broke my leases and people robbed and damaged belongings so technically I shouldn't have even had to be at that library at all.
I cant even really touch any of my own belongings I worked and paid for because crimes happened and even insurance carriers are involved and there are insurance claims and i still want to prosecute the individuals who did these crimes and I still need to be reimbursed.
Also I can and do buy my own books to begin with."
