Reviews Summary

Orlando Fashion Square is a unique destination, often described as a 'dead mall' with a nostalgic and exploratory appeal. While many stores are closed, visitors appreciate the remaining anchor stores like Macy's, the opportunity to discover local boutiques and experiences, and the quiet, less crowded atmosphere. However, some find the mall depressing due to vacancies, and issues like inconsistent air conditioning and elevator reliability have been noted.

"This is not a good mall. There are no stores open except for Dillard's, a crappy movie theater, and somehow- Spencer's. But miraculously, you can still go into the mall. The fountain still works. To get up to the second floor of the mall, you have to go outside into a parking garage on the other end of the mall, take the sketchy elevator from there, and then you can go onto the second floor, I loved the experience I had. It was like exploring something abandoned, but completely legal. It was so creepy and so cool."

"Perfect example of the disappearing Mall of our times. This is an update to my previous review four years ago. Came to Macy's for a cocktail dress. But the mall is sadly depressing still. Too many closed stores to keep count. How it's still open is a question to ponder. How Macy's is still standing is hard to understand but somehow they are still in business. The retail apocalypse is real."

"2024 May 2.5★
Given the footprint of the mall, it's pretty sad to see the number of stores in the mall vacant. You still have a few anchor tenants like Macy's, planet fitness and Champs, but the foot traffic is very dead.
There are a good reasons to stop by however:
Covered parking
Indoor mall - from the heat and rain. Though the AC is light.
A good place to just walk.
Some deals given the emptiness of foot traffic."
