What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the immersive theming, especially in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and the thrilling rides like VelociCoaster and Revenge of the Mummy. The efficiency of the Universal Express Pass and the convenience of on-site hotels are frequently highlighted as major positives. However, some find the cost of the parks and add-ons to be high, and certain 3D rides can be disorienting for some.
"Well, this was quite an attraction! I brought my grandchildren here for vacation, celebrating their academics! There was a convenience train shuttle to get you safely from one them park to the next. The exhibits and themed interactive shows and rides were fabulous. The wait lines, not so much! The parking and entry cost was exorbitant. However, I understood that it was developed to make money. I loved it, and so did the grands! I would definitely revisit! It didn't disappoint!"

"Amazing experience to go with kids.
We really had a good time and luckily I bought the express pass, otherwise the waiting time in some of the attractions, was over an hour.
(Highly recommended to get the express pass)
The prices are a bit higher but nothing new in this kind of parks.
Great idea to have a hidratation areas and there are for free.
Toilets very clean and nice smell.
Definitely, I recommend this park to everyone who really wants to have a great family time."

"Went to universal studio with a family of 5 as this was peak Season Orlando was very warm. The park was very busy and managed to get a few rides done. My favourite film ET bike ride was great. The Hollywood part looks great just like a film set. I also really enjoyed the parade which was awesome to see. I now know how busy the park is in July and the warm weather best to come in a low season as less crowds."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
To make the most of your family's visit, download the Universal Orlando app to monitor wait times and show schedules. Bringing your own snacks and drinks can help manage costs, and utilizing the free water stations is essential for staying hydrated in the Florida heat. If your budget allows, Express Passes can significantly reduce wait times, making the day more enjoyable for everyone, especially if you have little ones with shorter attention spans.
🎢 Thrill-Seekers
To maximize your thrill-seeking experience, consider purchasing an Express Pass to minimize time spent in queues. Alternatively, utilize single rider lines on attractions that offer them, which can drastically cut down wait times. Arriving for Early Park Admission is also crucial for getting to the most popular thrill rides, like Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, before the crowds build up.
💰 Budget Travelers
While Express Passes are a significant expense, explore if staying at a premier hotel that includes them might be a better value than purchasing them separately. If not, focus on Early Park Admission and strategically using single rider lines to reduce wait times without extra cost. Visiting during off-peak seasons can also lead to lower ticket and accommodation prices.

Navigating The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Key attractions include Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts in Diagon Alley and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey in Hogsmeade. For a truly immersive experience, consider riding the regular lines at least once to catch all the details, as single rider or Express Pass routes may bypass some of the theming. Remember to look for interactive wand spots throughout both lands to cast spells and bring the magic to life.
Pro-tip: Diagon Alley is particularly magical after dark when it's illuminated. If you're a big Harry Potter fan, dedicate ample time to explore every nook and cranny of these lands.
Maximizing Your Day with Express Pass and Single Rider
Single Rider lines are a fantastic free alternative for solo travelers or groups willing to split up. Many popular rides, including Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Revenge of the Mummy, and the Jurassic World VelociCoaster, offer single rider options. While you won't ride with your party, you'll often get through the line much faster. It's important to note that Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure does not accept Express Pass and does not have a single rider line, making Early Park Admission crucial for this ride.
For those on a tighter budget, focusing on Early Park Admission and strategically using single rider lines can still lead to a very efficient day. Downloading the Universal Orlando app is also key for checking real-time wait times and planning your strategy.
Budget-Friendly Tips for Your Universal Trip
When it comes to accommodation, staying at value resorts like Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort or Endless Summer Resort can be more budget-friendly than premier options. While these may not include Express Passes, they still offer the benefit of Early Park Admission and convenient transportation. If you're looking to save on tickets, consider visiting during the off-peak season or looking for package deals that bundle hotel and park admission.
Some Reddit users suggest that annual passes can be more economical than multi-day tickets if you plan to visit frequently or extend your stay, as they often come with hotel discounts. Always compare prices and consider your travel dates and frequency of visits to determine the best value for your specific trip.
