What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bedrock Park offers a beloved natural escape with gentle river access, ideal for family fun and peaceful recreation. While some visitors note a decline in amenities and occasional upkeep issues, the park's natural beauty and historical connections continue to make it a cherished spot for many.
"I went to Bedrock in July 2025. I was deeply saddened by what I saw. The once cool shady place was now not a shadow of its former glory. The trees had all been cut back to their trunks. The picnic tables were gone so was the simple swing set. The grass was brown. I walk over to take a look at the river. The pool that I spent so many summer days on was covered in moss. The smell of stagnant water filled the air. I felt it was my fault that a place that held so many memories was now abandoned. Where was I when it was decided that it would no longer be maintained? I am sorry Bedrock Park will no longer be a right of passage in Oroville. It was here I got my first kiss. What is left? Nothing."

"This park has been a favorite place of mine for almost 60 years. If your kids love be the water it is the perfect place. No currents, not too deep, tadpoles, crawdads, etc..."

"My favorite park. A little flooded due to the release of water from the dam. Goats on site now eating the undergrowth. Peaceful and tranquil and there is a nature trail as a bonus"

Exploring the Feather River
Recent social media posts highlight efforts to ensure the park's green spaces are maintained, especially before the summer heat, indicating a commitment to preserving the park's appeal. However, it's worth noting that water levels can fluctuate due to releases from the nearby dam, which might affect the river's appearance at different times of the year.
