What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jolly Mon Indoor Water Park is a hit with families, especially those with younger children, thanks to its dedicated play areas and lazy river. While some visitors find the water temperature chilly and the park a bit pricey for its size, the overall sentiment is that it provides a fun, albeit sometimes basic, indoor water park experience.
"We went on a weekend in October. The water in the lazy river and the main water feature for kids was unbearably cold, and the temperature inside was chilly as well. Our daughter had fun in the pool with the basketball hoops (which was heated) but was crowded. It was over $80 for the 3 of us, and to be honest we have no interest of coming back again. I’d rather save my money and go jump in the lake if I’m going to be that cold. There’s also no showers to rinse off in the locker room, nor is there a changing room for kids.
If you do come, be sure and get towels downstairs before you head up to the water park. There are none upstairs and the workers at the front desk say nothing to offer them up after you pay."

"This indoor water park is not that large and is more geared towards 8 and under. There are two bigger slides but that only keeps a 12 yo entertained for so long. Most resorts include the cost in the room but they charge $20 plus tax for people staying at the resort. Four of us was $84 and some change. A little pricey for what you get. There are no lifeguards and only two 2-person tubes. So you wait for a two person tube for some time. The toilets are down under the waterpark and I didn’t see many people go down and come back. So I am pretty sure they were all using the pools. One lazy river, one hot tub, one basketball pool, two higher slides, one kids area with 2 kids slides. Not very big. We decided not to go back another day and the kids were not disappointed in that."

"It was okay, one time experience. Made the best of it as we were already there and the kiddo was excited. Rusty and needs paint everywhere. Lots of chlorine, nose was burnt. The front desk employee, rude. Barely spoke. No thank you or have fun. It was fun for a one time but will not be going back unless I hear of an extreme overhaul."

Navigating the Water Park Experience
While the park offers a good amount of fun, some visitors have noted that the water temperature can be a bit chilly, especially in the lazy river and main water features. The basketball pool, however, is generally reported to be heated. It's worth noting that the park isn't massive, and while it provides ample entertainment for younger kids, older children might find their attention span tested after a few hours.
Practical tips for your visit include bringing your own towels, as they aren't always readily available upstairs, and preparing quarters for the lockers. The park also offers food and beverages, including adult options, so you can refuel without leaving the fun.
Family Fun at Jolly Mon
Many reviewers highlight that the park's shallow pools (under 4ft) make it ideal for families with young swimmers. While some guests have mentioned the water temperature being cool, the overall sentiment from families is positive, with kids often having a blast.
For a smoother family experience, remember to pack essentials like towels and quarters for lockers. The availability of food and drinks onsite means you can easily manage meal breaks without disrupting the fun.
Understanding Value and Expectations
Reviews suggest that while the park can be fun for a one-time experience, some areas might show signs of wear and tear, and certain amenities like showers might be lacking. However, for families with young children, the dedicated play areas and the overall indoor water park experience can still provide significant enjoyment.
To maximize value, check for resort package deals that might include water park access. Visiting during off-peak times, like weekdays, can also enhance the experience by reducing crowds and potentially making the cost feel more justified.
