What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Washington Square Park's vibrant energy, iconic arch, and diverse street performers, calling it a must-see in NYC. While some note a 'heavy' atmosphere at night, the park is generally loved for its eclectic charm and as a lively gathering spot for locals and tourists alike.
"Washington Square takes up the north side of the grounds of the Oswego County Courthouse. It might be something to do if you're attending court and need a break, walking around. The park includes a playground and a swing set. A bank of power outlets on one side suggest that perhaps festivals or a farmers market might be held here periodically.
There is some shade from the tall trees. There are some benches for the adults - I did not see any picnic tables. The park had no litter during my visit, perhaps folks are actually using the trash cans!
Street parking all around, but check the signs to ensure that you're good for time. Don't block driveways or fire hydrants."
