What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
This library is praised for its extensive resources, knowledgeable staff, and excellent children's section, with the MakerSpace being a standout feature. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about noise levels and individuals sleeping in quiet areas, impacting the overall focus and atmosphere for work or study.
"I drive about 40 minutes to this library because it used to be a great place to focus and get work done. Unfortunately, it’s gone downhill fast. Most of the chairs in the quiet area are now taken by people sleeping in them, surrounded by piles of personal belongings.
One woman confronted me for sitting near her, then started loudly cussing on her phone. I told staff and they said, “I’m sorry.” I went back again, they spoke to her, but she was allowed to stay. As soon as the staff walked away, she got back on the phone saying, “This crybaby next to me is complaining about me.”
On my way out, another man was stretched across the aisle with his shoes off, sound asleep, and I literally had to step over him to leave.
I understand libraries are for everyone, but this has gotten out of control. It no longer feels like a quiet, safe, or productive place to work. Management really needs to step up and restore some balance here."

"They provide many office/study rooms, computers, classes, tax papers, and they retain a well informed staff at the location near 87th and Antioch. Plus they have a job/hobby room called Makers Space which allows people to try equipment they do not already own at home, like sewing macbines, pattern cutters, 3D printers. I believe, they were adding a soldier station as well."

"It has been quite some time since I went to a library. And coming here made me wish I had. This library send to be leagues above the ones inside Kansas City Missouri. My only wish I'd that it was closer to where I live so that if have a reason to visit it and try out it's resources. It has multiple private rooms for whatever your need, ample amounts of tables and computers. I did not guy tour this location, but it appeared to have a children's location inside as well"
