"If you have an appreciation for the rich history of classic automobiles and aviation, the Owl’s Head Transportation Museum is an absolute must-visit. Each time I travel to Maine, I make it a point to visit this remarkable institution. The staff are highly knowledgeable, welcoming, and dedicated, which greatly enhances the overall experience. While the gift shop could benefit from a slightly broader selection, it still offers a variety of interesting items. The museum has also recently introduced an engaging and educational section designed for preteens and younger children. It even features a play zone with a plane that children can climb into and enjoy. I extend my sincere gratitude to all the staff and volunteers whose passion and commitment preserve this outstanding museum for visitors to enjoy."

"Much more interesting than I thought it would be. The place is rather large, and you could easily spend 2 to 3 hours looking at the exhibits and learning the history of various forms of transportation, from bicycles to airplanes. It's clean and well laid out. They are looking to expand and I would like to see a section with a more modern forms of transportation on display and discussing some of the advancements to catch us up to date."

"Wow! This museum had so much more to offer than I expected it would. My husband and I are classic car enthusiasts so this place caught our eye when we were in the area for the July 4th weekend. There were so many cars in great condition and many that I hadn't seen anywhere else.
From the outside you would never guess what awaits you. This is a very modern and well-built museum with clean restrooms, a really nice gift shop, and room upon room on the history of cars, planes, bikes, and engines. We don't have kids, but it looked like there were fun activities for them too.
Highly, highly recommend if you are in the area."
