"This is the beach where birds go to relax. There are thousands of shorebirds that call it home. Please treat the wetlands with respect and don’t let kids and dogs chase the birds. Just walk and watch, and the tranquility is indescribable."

"Great place for solitude, and a lovely walk. You can set up a Hangout spot deep in the dunes and leave your stuff safely while you enjoy the water. You can easily walk from Ormond Beach all the way to Port Hueneme Pier if you chose to. The day we went most recently the water was shallow, and you can Wade far into the water without the waves going above your head. I did notice a decent amount of fisherman. And ended up getting spooked out of the water after a fish flapped between my and my friends' legs. Beautiful beach. It is also a wildlife and neighbor to a navy base, so stay out of the fencing."
