"We saw "Something Rotten" SUPERB PERFORMANCE! Nothing but laughs! Such a great location, amazing actors, there literally not a bad seat in the house. Met George there tonight and got the story of how this place happened, I love the story."

"We had family members in the Thingamajig production of, The Lion King, at the Pagosa Springs Centre for the Arts. This was our family's first time participating in one of their theater camps, and we could not have asked for a more lovely experience. Ms. Laura is the education person, not sure if I have her title correct, and she was gracious, helpful and extremely professional! Our kids were well-treated, and learned discipline, how to collaborate, and most importantly to have fun on stage!
As you walk around the inside, you can see the playbills from earlier productions which made us wish we had known about this earlier so we could have attended some of the shows. There are two stages, one in the front and one in the back. The lobby was sweetly decorated for Christmas and had a festive air about it. The outside patio has a fireplace which was helpful as we stood in line waiting for the doors to open.
There was a small gift shop, and a place to purchase snacks. There was also a large water station where anyone could help themselves to a cool drink. All of the staff, especially Ms. Laura's mom whose name I regretfully did not get, were kind, friendly and helpful. When there was a ticket crunch, they allowed us to wait inside as they figured out how to add more parents, grandparents, and other family members to the theater. The lighting, the music, and the set were splendiferous, with comfortable chairs in the seating area.
Our family is looking forward to the next play, which will most likely encourage us to visit Pagosa Springs more often.
I always give the bathrooms, anywhere, particular scrutiny and they were spotless and eclectically decorated. It was very nice that they utilized white, cloth hand-towels, in the bathroom for a small but important, contribution to less paper products in the trash.
I'm going to join the friends of Pagosa Springs Centre for the Arts so that I am notified well in advance of the Theatres happenings. I highly recommend you check this wonderful art center out!"
