"Beautiful beach and they’re turtles here. I had to zoom in on the pictures so I wouldn’t disturb them. There’s plenty swimming nearby also. They have sun tanning lotion by the restroom too."

"Fantastic Sandy Beach with rolling crashing waves.. Great for your boogie board.. or for a nice long walk in the surf.
I was just there on a Friday afternoon and there was lots of people playing volleyball.
There was a large group of about 35 people playing the drums.. it was quite enthralling to watch. Eventually, a large throng of people started to show up dancing up a storm.. I left when the sun was going down.. I guess that's when most people were showing up.. it could have been quite a party.. The parking area was over full and there were 50 plus cars that were on the highway..
So if you like to party on Friday nights on the beach.. this might be the place.
It seems quite calm the rest of the time."

The Magic of Friday Nights
If you're looking for a lively beach party experience, Friday nights are your best bet. However, be aware that parking can become a significant challenge as the evening progresses, with cars often lining the highway. It's advisable to arrive early if you plan to join the festivities.
This unique tradition offers a glimpse into the local Maui culture and a chance to connect with the community in a fun and energetic setting. It's a stark contrast to the more tranquil daytime experience, offering visitors a choice of vibes depending on when they visit.
Encountering Maui's Honu (Sea Turtles)
It's crucial to remember that honu are protected wildlife. Visitors are strongly advised to maintain a respectful distance of at least 20 feet to avoid stressing or disturbing them. Never touch, feed, or chase a sea turtle. Observing them from afar allows them to continue their natural behaviors undisturbed.
While honu can be found at various beaches across Maui, Baldwin Beach Park is frequently mentioned as a reliable spot. The eastern end of the beach, near the reef, is often a good area to look. Remember to zoom in on your photos to capture their beauty without getting too close.
Ocean Conditions and Safety
However, these conditions can be challenging for novice swimmers or young children. The far eastern end of the beach, often referred to as 'Baby Beach,' is more sheltered by reefs and offers calmer waters, making it a safer option for families.
Always assess the ocean conditions before entering the water. Heed any posted warnings and be aware of rip currents. If you're unsure about the safety of the water, it's best to stick to wading or enjoy a walk along the shore.
