What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Palisade Rim Trail for its stunning panoramic views, especially at sunset, and its accessibility just off the interstate. While the trail offers a good workout with nice elevation gain, some find the parking limited and the lack of amenities at the trailhead inconvenient. The narrow paths along drop-offs require caution, but overall, it's considered a great, relatively short hike with rewarding scenery.
"This is a great hike with incredible views. It doesn't take long and it isn't too difficult. We enjoy it immensely! 40 minutes up and 30 down, with my kids of course, maybe not that long."
Misty Lasater
"The Palisade Rim Trail is a great, little hike that offers beautiful views of the orchards and sunsets. The trailhead itself doesn't have great parking (mostly just roadside) and has no amenities (maps, benches, rest areas, etc). I also advise having a map on your phone or at least reviewing a trail map before heading out so you know if you want to do the lower or upper loops and how far you'll want to go. You also want to have some assurance that you're starting up the right trail as the Palisade Plunge Trail also drops in the same area."

"Awesome hiking and views! Access just off the interstate. You can go through the quaint town itself. Nice elevation gain. Some trails are pretty skinny and run along the edge of a big drop. You can seemingly go forever. It was a nice surprise for me, thanks to Google Maps!"
