Looking for suggestions on helicopter tours with landing I am interested in the below 2 options: 1. Knik glacier from Palmer: This helicopter tour lands on the glacier. This sounds like just the glacier/ice fields view 2. Bear glacier from Seward: this tour lands on the Bear…

Beat glaciers to drive/hike to outside of Anchorage?
Recently moved to anchorage and got some friends visiting. I have a car, snowshoe access. Would love to avoid paying for a tour service. What are the best ways to see glaciers? (Request from my guests.) I’ve heard about portage glacier near Whittier and Mat su glaciers up that…
Driving Around Icebergs Out at the Glacier
Drove out to the Knik Glacier this past weekend near Palmer Alaska. We've had some real cold temps lately and it was smooth sailing all the way out! Such an unreal landscape. I'll have some more photos on [my IG](https://www.instagram.com/mobileandmonitoring/) and if you'd like…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about the Knik Glacier experience, calling it an unforgettable adventure and a highlight of their Alaska trip. The unique combination of a thrilling army truck ride, a scenic boat tour, and the awe-inspiring proximity to the glacier earns high marks. While some wished for more narration or earlier snack options, the overall consensus is that this is a must-do for anyone seeking an authentic Alaskan encounter.
"Absolutely incredible experience! One of the biggest highlights of our trip. Such a unique and amazing tour! Got to ride in the back of an army truck across some water and down to the river. Then boarded a boat and took an awesome ride out to the glacier.
When they tell you to take the jacket for the boat ride, be sure to listen, it gets quite chilly for a bit, but totally worth it!
Boating through the icebergs and then getting out on the terminal moraine for a hot chocolate and snack was a real treat! We also had an absolutely gorgeous day for the tour!
Tom runs an amazing tour and I would highly recommend!"

"This is a five star tour from what you see and do. From the nice staff, to the monster truck ride, then boat ride, to the hot cocoa/coffee. They also provided heavy coats for all to keep you warm. The thing I hoped for was more “narrating” for the staff and it would have been great to have some coffee/snacks avatar the start of the tour for the people who had a long drive and missed breakfast. Or some direction on the website that food was available at a lodge/hotel 10 minutes up the road. It’s a little thing but it would have made the day more enjoyable.
Overall, it’s still a “must-do” if you are in the area!

"Even with a chilly drippy day, this tour was excellent! They provided warm coats with hoods for the boat trip. The truck ride through the river to the boats was even fun. Viewing the glacier sipping hot chocolate or coffee was a nice touch."
