What Travellers Say

Reviews Summary

Caesars Palace offers a classic Las Vegas experience with its grand Roman theme, extensive amenities, and prime location. Guests often praise the Forum Shops, the Qua Baths & Spa, and the variety of dining options. However, some reviews mention that the property shows its age and can feel overwhelming due to its size and crowds, with service quality sometimes being inconsistent.

"Our family (kids ages 9, 7, 5) had a GREAT TIME in Vegas. The room and amenities were great. The buffet was fantastic and we got in fairly quickly without a reservation. Of course, it was all very expensive but we over-tipped and received great treatment (tip in advance at the pool daybeds for constant service).

We didn't like that the mini bar can't be rearranged. That limits the ability to use the fridge. Management should make that a separate area (or eliminate the fee) so people can use a fridge.

We also didn't like the lack of parking for tall vehicles (we had a travel topper on the SUV). There should be more oversized vehicle parking. Other guests we spoke with had the same issue."

Matthew Grey

"The room lacked a lot of accommodations. Only contained basic hygiene items, towels and coffee maker. The room did not have a fridge, but had an automatic charging mini bar. Crappy hotel.
The resort is great however, the pools are exotic. The forum shops are pretty interesting, there's so much to choose from. The staff are all pretty good people. The decor and architecture is a wonderful homage to Rome and makes a variety of gorgeous set pieces.
I'm sure if you could more easily access a variety of fruit in the resort, you could bring your gold and live like Caesar - but definitely bring your gold."

"Caesars Palace is undeniably a beautiful resort with impressive architecture and some great accommodations, but unfortunately, our room didn’t reflect the same level of quality. It felt dated and in need of some repairs — chipped paint, worn furniture, and a general lack of cleanliness that took away from the overall experience.

The food throughout the resort also felt very overpriced, especially considering we were visiting as a family. We struggled to find affordable, accessible options that suited our needs, which made meals more frustrating than enjoyable.

On the positive side, the Forum Shops were amazing — that was actually the main reason we chose to stay at Caesars in the first place. But now we know we could have simply parked and visited the shops without booking a stay.

One thing that stood out to me was that the resort seems more geared toward guests from a higher social class. That’s totally okay — there’s clearly a market for that — but it made us feel out of place at times. As someone not part of that “elite” crowd, I just didn’t feel like Caesars was a good fit for me or my family.

The staff, to their credit, were professional and kind throughout our stay. But overall, the experience didn’t align with our expectations or needs. Now we know it’s not our kind of vibe — and that’s okay too"

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

Choosing Your Caesars Palace Tower

Caesars Palace features several distinct hotel towers, each with its own character and amenities. The Augustus Tower is frequently cited as one of the best, offering spacious rooms and excellent views, often with easy access to the spa. Travelers recommend requesting a high floor with a low room number for optimal vistas. Reddit

The Palace Tower is another popular choice, known for its proximity to the casino floor and the Strip. Some of its studio suites are noted for having two bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub, making them a comfortable option for longer stays. Reddit+1

Other towers like the Julius Tower and Octavius Tower also offer rooms, though they might be more standard. The Colosseum Tower rooms have been renovated. When booking, consider your priorities: do you want the closest access to the casino, the best views, or specific room features like a jacuzzi? Reddit+1

The $20 Trick: Maximizing Your Room Upgrade

The 'tip at check-in' or '$20 trick' is a well-known strategy in Las Vegas, and it can sometimes yield results at Caesars Palace. By discreetly handing a $20 bill along with your ID and credit card to the front desk agent, you're essentially incentivizing them to look for a better room for you. TikTokReddit

Success with this trick is not guaranteed and depends heavily on several factors: the hotel's occupancy rate (it works best on slower days), the specific agent you get, and the rate you originally booked. A $20 tip is unlikely to upgrade you from a basic room to a multi-bedroom suite, but it might get you a higher floor, a room with a better view (like the Strip or Bellagio fountains), or a slightly more desirable location within your booked room type. Reddit+1

For guaranteed upgrades or specific views, it's often more reliable to book the room type you desire directly. However, if you're flexible and hoping for a pleasant surprise, the $20 trick is a low-risk, potentially high-reward strategy to try. TikTokReddit

Exploring the Forum Shops

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is more than just a shopping mall; it's an experience in itself, designed to immerse visitors in a Roman-inspired wonderland. With its elaborate architecture, painted sky ceiling that changes from day to night, and numerous statues and fountains, it offers a visually stunning environment. TikTok

This expansive complex houses a vast array of retailers, from high-end luxury brands like Gucci and Versace to more accessible stores. Beyond shopping, the Forum Shops features a variety of dining options, including celebrity chef restaurants and casual eateries, making it a destination for both retail therapy and culinary exploration. TikTok

Key attractions within the Forum Shops include the Fall of Atlantis animatronic show and the Festival Fountain show, which add an element of entertainment to the shopping experience. It's a place where you can easily spend several hours exploring, shopping, and dining. TikTok
