"What can I say? THIS PLACE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH, if you like homemade, old world, real, fresh ingredients, always fresh and consistent, Italian foods store. If you go there hungry, watch out! EVERYTHING tastes as good as it looks! I get ALL of my pasta: imported dry, in house made ravioli, manicotti, stuffed shells, tortellini, and gnocchi. It's all sooooo good. I was there a few weeks ago, and I got all my favorites: rice balls (the size of baseballs) stuffed mushrooms, brushetta, fried calamari, a monster piece of in house made lasagna. I also got Aburro rice balls, they're smaller, but packed with cheese and meat. The fried eggplant is always fresh and wasn't oily at all! A pound+ of fresh mozzarella and a smoked mozzarella. I was going to the front to pay, and the owner put on the high table (near the back counter) 2 blocks of torrone. I asked if I may, and she said absolutely! So, I took the one with pistachios. The almond is great as well! You will never, ever get anything not tasting fresh. They do such a volume of business, that the inventory is constantly refreshing with new products. You can't miss!!!"

"My grandmother used to take me here 30-35 years ago. Sadly I forgot all about the place and recently rediscovered it. I’m not usually around this area but I go across the street often to Butcher’s Burger and seeing that famous Pastosa Ravioli sign brought back memories.
They have a huge assortment of cold and hot foods (they will heat up anything for you if you ask), various cheeses, their homemade canned sauces and pastas, and of course a whole refrigerated section of raviolis.
I went with a buddy because we were craving some lasagna and it hit the spot. A pound is $8.99 and 1 piece weighs about 1.7 lbs. I also got a rice ball for $2.49 (prosciutto and mozzarella) and vodka parm egg roll for $4.49. The guy offered to put some extra sauce on top of the lasagna (after weighing it so it was no additional charge, which was appreciated). He also put some sauce on the rice ball. Very delicious. Next time I got to try spaghetti and meatballs, and one of the huge rice balls which is meat and peas (my fav).
The pictures don’t begin to cover everything the store has to offer. It’s not letting me attach videos."

"The original flagship store is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. Additional locations provide customers with more choices. They sell a variety of Italian prepared foods, sauces, cheeses and frozen food. I ordered the baked meatballs which were very tasty and fresh. The ravioli are their specialty with many available options. I tried the butternut squash ravioli which were excellent and easy to cook at home. Friendly and helpful staff."
