"I took an early morning walk along the Umatilla River from the Pendleton House where I was staying on North Main Street.
The Riverwalk was a short distance away and I started
my walk on the western
part of the trail toward the Pendleton Roundup Stadium.
The paved trail follows the Umatilla River on the Levee
and offers great views of the city.
I stopped at Roy Raley Park and walked around the Pendleton Roundup Stadium.
The trail continues on to the skate park and parking at Westgate Plaza.
I walked the eastern part
of the trail the next day
through Brownfield Park on
Main St.
The eastern part of the trail
is more residual then the western part and offers
views of Basalt Cliffs along
the river the further you walk.
I stopped at the Union Pacific Shelter and turned around at this point.
Located in Pendleton along
the Umatilla River with the trailhead and parking at
Westgate Plaza on the
western end of the trail.
A great place to take an
early morning walk along the Umatilla River on a paved trail
with nice views of the city, a number of parks and landmarks such as the Pendleton Roundup Stadium."
