Baby goats and cheese?! YES PLEASE! 🧀🐐 I'm obsessed with Harley Farms Goat Dairy in Pescadero along Hwy 1, especially during the springtime when all the baby goats (aka Kids) are out and available to head rubbies! Everything they make is so tasty but I'm especially in love with their Dill Goat Cheese and Fire Roasted Tomatoes. In the summer they have special farm to table dinners which I haven...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Harley Farms for its adorable baby goats and delicious, award-winning cheese. The friendly staff and informative tours enhance the overall experience, making it a highly recommended destination for families and animal lovers. Some visitors note that specific goat types might not always be available, and booking in advance is essential for popular tours.

"I’ve visited this goat farm a couple of times, especially around the Dasara festival, which we celebrate in Hindu culture (in Nepal and India). Last year, I went with my friends and bought a goat for about $700, including cutting, cleaning, and burning. The team also cleaned the intestines, and overall the price was fair considering we got the whole goat. The quality was good, and we had a nice barbecue afterward.

This year, I went again on Dasara hoping to buy another one, but they only had female goats available and no males, so we didn’t buy this time. The service was okay, and the staff were friendly, but I’d recommend going prepared — bring your own bags or containers for the meat. Last time, we didn’t have any and had to drive back to Half Moon Bay to get garbage bags and boxes to pack everything.

The farm itself is in a quiet area, not too far from Half Moon Bay — around two to three miles away, right off Highway 1. The location is easy to find with the address. Overall, it’s a good place with decent service, but it’s best to call ahead or check what kind of goats they have before you go."

"This place is incredibly beautiful. I did the guided tour which included time spent with the baby goats. They get to cuddle you and sit in your lap, it’s adorable. To top it off you get a discount in their store where they have internationally acclaimed goat cheese, but they have all kinds of products including soap and the most incredible pot de crème I have ever tasted. This is the only functioning dairy in San Mateo county. Friendly staff are knowledgeable and give an incredibly informative tour. So many wonderful animals to see and pet. They also have an incredibly gorgeous wedding/party venue."

"Awesome tour! Highly recommend. Bob was great! We learned some history of the farm and played with/held the baby goats! Saw some born just 2 hours before. Even Jimmy the llama made an appearance! The horses came right up to us. All animals super friendly I was amazed including the guard pups! Ended with a delicious cheese tasting too. Definitely go!"
