"What a fun place to explore! I recommend starting at the visitor center where you can talk with a local expert, obtain a descriptive map, and focus on what you want to see and explore. There are boutiques, art galleries, gift shops, and restaurants. We started at the visitor center and obtained a ton of information, including using the Petaluma train. We didn’t know the train is free for seniors and college students. Hence, we added the train to our next day’s excursion and saved ourselves from driving! I digress, back to day one! We explored a variety of shops and art galleries, admired the beautiful architecture, and read about the amazing history of the buildings. We rounded out our day with dinner at Lineman’s across the Petaluma River. Delightful, fun day!"

"Too much to say. Just come visit Petaluma California. River waterfront, great shops and food places, museum and historical spots.
The city that was used to film the classic movie "American Graffiti" by George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola."

"To the beautiful community of Sonoma county and visitors abroad, I can say I love the little city of Petaluma! With its community of almost 60,000 people it is a delightful town filled with bookstores, game stores, restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and more! Don’t forget the historical aspect as well. All the buildings have been kept the same despite the change of businesses over decades. I love the look of it. Vintage and charming. I love the bridge and the Petaluma river view. There’s always so many people walking around and each store has at least one customer in it. There’s still people around even after 8pm and that’s what I love about it! People around here really know how to enjoy life. I will definitely be back!"
