"I have been to the Pertersburg battlefield several time but nevet put my visit on maps. 5 forks and the crater are two of my favorite places to visit. The history of the Pertersburg siege as being the longest of the civil was a disaster for both sides with the amount of death there. Gen Pickett, yes the same one at Gettysburg. Lost the battle at five forks."
