What Travellers Say
"Went August 18 as I’ve been wanting to go the past year and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I appreciate how this museum admits to any forced/ illegal takings of certain specimens and highlights those who willingly donated organs/skeletons/whole bodies. I loved how they incorporated some personalities of those who donated, such as the lady with the Jewelry. It really makes it feel like those who lie in there aren’t just pieces of flesh and bone, but someone who once had memories. They really did present both the past and present takes on medicine, and how the media and what we believe in really are what allows medicine to advance or not. The older gentleman who works at the gift shop was super funny and a great positive highlight of the visit :)!"

"The Mütter Museum is a truly fascinating and unique place to visit. It's both very interesting and incredibly informative, offering a deep dive into the history of medicine and the human body. The exhibits are well-curated and thought-provoking, featuring everything from preserved anatomical specimens to historical medical instruments and rare pathologies.
What makes the experience stand out is how the museum combines scientific insight with historical context, making complex medical topics accessible and engaging. It's perfect for anyone curious about the human body, medical history, or just looking for something a little out of the ordinary. Highly recommended for visitors who enjoy learning and aren’t afraid to explore the more unusual side of science.
In addition to the incredible indoor displays, there’s also a small but beautiful garden tucked away outside, a great place to pause and reflect after exploring the museum."

"Awesome. But no black babies in jars. I absolutely love this museum. So many interesting things to learn about the human body and also what can go wrong. Also with EBT just two dollars!!!"
