"I may be a little biased by giving Berkshire Theatre group a five star review, especially since I’ve been in many a show here and have volunteered over the years, but I wanted to share how truly amazing this group is.
First of all, the community outreach is fantastic. Several times a year the Berkshire Theatre Group will put out casting calls for their shows, usually The Christmas Carol and the children’s spring musical. These auditions are so fun, it’s a great place to meet people and find out how the process really works. Being in multiple shows, I’ve made so many friends and have met such amazing people in the Berkshire Theatre Group community. The rehearsals are fun as well, often times we warm up with a game or with team building exercises. It helps with making friends, and even doing scenes.
Sometimes, BTG holds classes, acting, vocal, dance, etc. These classes are also a fun way to hone your skills and meet new people. I truly appreciate the opportunity to work with theatre greats and having the ability to practice in a safe space.
Finally, I wanted to mention volunteering, and how fantastic it is to talk with patrons and share our collective love of theatre. I’m always astounded at the talent that graces the BTG stages, and I’m so incredibly proud to be apart of the community."
