Reviews Summary
Silver Lake is celebrated for its vibrant artistic atmosphere, unique boutiques, and the scenic reservoir walking path. However, visitors frequently mention significant challenges with parking and some express concerns regarding past chemical contamination in the lake, advising caution for water activities.
"They could add something different for it, like a place to go fishing, or something like that"
Peter Kirian
"The chemicals in the lake have given many people cancer and health problems, G.E. who dumped some of the chemicals claimed to clean it around 2010s however, G.E. only cleaned it partly, and they didn't clean it properly, so chemicals got distributed in a lot of places nearby and then they left. Do not do any activities you would do in places like a normal lake or pond, if you really want to activities like fishing, or swimming go to Lake Onota."
Kris Schaefer Brock
"Utilized the beautiful walkway around most of the lake. Enjoyed the heron flying across the lake from the last bench before East Street and circling back to home."
