We finally visited Coolidge State Park the other day - it’s only about 6 miles away from the cottage! 🏡 We weren’t properly prepared for some of their moderate hikes but we took a stroll around the lean-to loop, and it did not disappoint! 🍁 ⛺️ ⛰️ if we didn’t have a place just down the road we’d definitely stay here! #coolidgestatepark #calvincoolidge #visitvermont #optoutside #fall #fallfolia...

Visitors rave about Coolidge State Park's natural beauty, spacious and quiet campsites, and stunning mountain views, especially from the pavilion. The dog-friendly trails are a major plus. Some campers note that certain sites are on hills, and the access road is steep and winding, requiring careful driving.

"Excellent. Pick any site you won’t be disappointed. Some prime sites are definitely better with sunset and Mountain views. Head over to Camp Plymouth state park for pedal, paddle boarding, kayaking or for day use.
Visit President Coolidge’s birth place and the cemetery nearby. John Coolidge the president’s father started Plymouth cheese, visit the cheese making site if/when you are there."

"Very nice campground, the road getting in is narrow and curvy. We stayed in tent site 24, neighbors before our site was a good distance. No other neighbors. The only disappointment was our site was on a long hill. Every time we went down to the bathroom. It was quite a workout to get back to the site. We are in our 60's and out of shape. I liked site 6 and 16."

Marsha Iula

"We stayed late in the season around Indigenous Peoples Day. Our site was fairly close to 4 others but luckily only 2 sites had campers even though the park was fully booked. We liked the hiking options and went for two different walks. There was a band at the amphitheater one night but we stayed at the trailer because it was cold. For a close touristy experience try going to Plymouth Cheese factory and Coolidge birthplace right down the road."
