Night over Point Pleasant Beach. The drone pushes straight toward the Jenkinson’s amusement area, lit in vivid neon. The rides turn, the boardwalk is alive, and Cry Little Sister from The Lost Boys soundtrack sets the tone. It feels like stepping back into the late ’80s. Reviews Summary

Point Pleasant Beach offers a classic Jersey Shore experience with its lively boardwalk and sandy shores. Visitors appreciate the variety of attractions, from the aquarium to the arcades, and the beautiful ocean views. However, some find the beach experience to be over-policed and the costs for badges and food to be high, with early shower shut-offs being a point of contention.

"⭐️⭐️ 2-Star Review for Point Pleasant Beach

Point Pleasant Beach used to be our go-to summer spot about 4–5 years ago, but sadly, it’s gone downhill—big time. What was once a relaxing beach day has turned into an over-policed, overpriced headache. There are more cops patrolling than actual lifeguards, and getting onto the beach feels like you’re going through airport security. Not exactly the vibe you want on a chill summer day. Also it’s so annoying that they turn off the showers after 7 pm .. Ridiculous!!

The water was murky and dirty—definitely didn’t feel like going in. Food is ridiculously overpriced, and finding parking is a battle in itself. Honestly, the place has lost its charm. It ain’t Point Pleasant anymore… more like Point Unpleasant. Gave it 2 stars only out of nostalgia—otherwise, it would’ve been a 1."

"No entrance fee beach. Beautiful. Ample of trashcans so throw your trash properly. Seagulls here knows how to grab food from you quickly so watchout.. see images for reference."

Nico Samneil Salado

"Point Pleasant Beach was the first beach I visited when I started coming down to the Jersey Shore over 10+ years ago. This was one of my favorite beaches, as it has always been pretty clean, in my opinion. Besides the beach, there are plenty of other things to do on the boardwalk, like visiting the arcades, going to souvenir shops, and eating at local eateries.

A couple of things I noticed is that, one, the price for daily badges has really gone up from the last time I visited. It is $14 for weekdays for anyone over 12 years old and $15 for weekends and holidays. Anyone under 12 is free. This has to be one of the most expensive beaches along the shore to date. Two, the water for the shower goes off early to conserve water, and three the prices for rentals are a bit steep as well.

I can still find plenty of free street parking if I don't feel like paying the meters or lots, which is almost equivalent to the cost of the getting onto the beach itself.

Overall, in spite of the outrageous pricing, this doesn't deter me from coming back."
