Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Bear Valley Trail for its accessible main path, rewarding ocean views, and diverse loop options. While the main trail is easy, some connecting paths can be overgrown and require caution. Wildlife sightings, like bears and banana slugs, are a highlight for many, though bear safety is paramount.
"🥾 such a WONDERFUL flat hike on bear valley with a view of the ocean! Just be sure you take the right trail since if you choose one that veers right, you will have some climbing to do. About 9 miles round trip from the trailhead to the first lookout point of the ocean. Well worth it (even if there’s no longer an arch!) if you want to sit and enjoy your packed lunch or snacks, bring something to sit on to enjoy it and take in the beautiful scenery."

"An acquaintance recommended this trail to me and it was great. It's on the easier side as it doesn't have many hills and eventually leads to the coast."
Adam Barth
"Main trails are great. Be careful on connecting trails as overgrown and with poison oak."
