What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Play Park offers a peaceful retreat with natural beauty, including a duck pond and riverside views. Visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere and the unique pink flower, with some enjoying summer shows. However, concerns about litter and mixed opinions on its child-friendliness are noted.
"Play Park is a quiet place. The highlight is seeing the ducks. There is a big pinkish flower that looks artificial. I took a picture of it anyway. From what I've seen, there is more litter at Play Park than other parks in Pontiac. The public wastebasket has a few dead leaves."

"Such great place to swing Boat go fishing"

"The play was great fun!
Downsides:
Because it was a Summer show with no air conditioning, it was less comfortable. The plastic chairs were not ideal either. And the bathrooms were in a different building.
Upsides:
There was a roof over our heads, so we got to see the show rain or shine. The volunteers were super friendly and my wife and I were welcomed. The sense of community was fantastic!"

This duality – a potentially peaceful retreat versus areas needing attention – is a key aspect of the Play Park experience.
For those interested in events, summer shows have been noted, offering entertainment rain or shine thanks to a roof overhead. However, these events can be warm due to a lack of air conditioning, and the seating might not be ideal. The community spirit during these events is often highlighted as a positive aspect, with friendly volunteers and a welcoming atmosphere.
Nature and Recreation at Play Park
The park also features unique points of interest, such as a striking pink flower that some describe as looking artificial. This unusual element adds a touch of quirkiness to the natural landscape and can be a fun subject for photography. The riverside setting itself offers a tranquil backdrop for walks, relaxation, or simply enjoying the outdoors.
While the name 'Play Park' might evoke images of extensive playgrounds, the reality seems to be a blend of natural beauty and recreational opportunities. The park encourages a connection with nature, whether through observing wildlife, enjoying the river views, or trying your hand at fishing. It's a place where quiet contemplation and simple outdoor activities are the main attractions.
