What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Joan and Scott Holt Paradise Pond as a delightful, free wildlife preserve perfect for birdwatching and a peaceful stroll. The accessible boardwalk and the community bird log are highlighted as charming features. While the pond's water level can vary due to drought, the presence of birds and turtles still makes it a worthwhile stop for nature lovers.
"This is an amazing little park where you can do bird watching. They provide you bird pamphlet at sign in and there is a wooden boardwalk that weaves throughout the little park. There are benches where you can sit and watch the birds, and at various times of the year it actually has water in the pond. Not right now because of the drought. It is a nice casual stroll and certainly worth the trip. There is a chalkboard where people can write down which birds they see and what the date is, which is kind of cool."

"Located in the middle of an residential area this fresh Water wildlife preserve has suffered a frost that killed much of the vegetation a few weeks ago. Still we did see some Northern Shovelers, Blue Wing Teals, and a copious amount of turtles. There is a boardwalk with a few lookouts that overlooks the pond. It is a nice place to visit if you are in Port Aransas and is not hard to find."
