Visitors often praise Buu Mon Buddhist Temple and Gardens for its serene beauty, especially during the lotus bloom season. However, some reviews point out that the grounds could benefit from more consistent maintenance, with certain areas appearing unkempt or under construction. Despite this, many find it a peaceful and symbolic retreat.
"Buu Mon Buddhist Temple is a beautiful religious place for the Vietnamese local and also all international Buddhist and tourists. The great time to visit is around end of May and early June, when the lotus and water-lily are bloomed.
The lotus is a representative for the birth & life cycle of a lotus seed - becoming a plant - becoming a flower - becoming a conical seed pod - and new seeds. The life the senior generation passes down to the junior generation, protecting and compassion: the leave protects the lotus flower, the lotus flower protects the conical seed pod, and the latter protects the new seeds 🙏😊"

"Very beautiful, serine place. We enjoyed walking through the garden. There was work and construction being done so we can't wait to visit again so we can see the expansion. Just beautiful."

"Such a beautiful temple! Reminds me how beauty can be seen even in the middle of Port Arthur.
Kind of hidden if you don't know where it is. Located pretty close to downtown. In between residential housing so it's out of the blue. I really enjoyed walking here almost 7 years ago. 5 stars mang!"
