What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Oaks Amusement Park is praised for its historic charm, no-entry-fee policy, and variety of rides and activities, making it a beloved community staple. Visitors appreciate the affordable parking and the classic amusement park feel. Some note that ride bracelet costs can add up, and occasional staff training could be improved.
"First time visiting this amusement park and it's one of my favorite 😍! First amusement park I've been to that has no entrance fee and affordable parking only $4. The tickets price is great since it grants you access to pretty much all the rides. There's plenty entertainment for everyone to enjoy. Many food selections and they have special events as well...Halloween event this weekend! Most importantly I noticed that the staff double and triple check for safety on all the rides I was on. I would definitely visit again and recommend this park to others!"

"8/16/25: so much has changed since I last came to Oaks Parks! 💫💫 Last time I came was about 5 years ago?! 😅😊
❤️ No entrance fee, yay! (Glad this hasn't changed!🙏). The staffs are friendly 🩷
🎢 Cost for rides: depends on height and safety requirement, if accompanying child under 48" (4 feet), age (if senior, 62 years and older), you can add-on Roller Skate, etc. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth.
🚫💵 Payments are cashless (NO cash)
💳 👍 pay for parking--parking machines does not accept cash (Lots of parking machines near the entrance. Have your car license number ready!)
😋 Lots of food selections: Burgers, fries, pizza, chicken tenders and more! There's also lots of food carts!
🚙 parking is plenty by the Roller Rink area. Hard to find parking near the entrance.
🎠🎡🎢🚂 LOTS of things to do! Lots of rides! Lots of games to play! And lots of food to eat!
👾 lots of games and arcade games: you'll need to purchase tickets for certain games (tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth); and you'll need a game card for certain games (game card can be purchased near the games).
🩷 highly recommended for the whole family! Definitely would come back again! 🩷😊"

"This is the only amusement park in the Portland area, and it's been a community mainstay for a very long time.
There's a fairly decent amount of rides here, and there's a carnival or county fair feel to it. There is a roller coaster, vertical drop rides, bumper cars, go-karts, a roller staking rink, a large picnic area, and even a small train you can ride which goes around the park.
There are games like you'd find at the midway at a fair, and food available at various places.
Parking can be tough here, and it's pay to park so make sure to stop at the kiosk, get your parking pass and leave it visible in the car before heading into the park.
They sometimes have fairs and festivals here, and usually there is an Oktoberfest held here picnic area."
