"We booked a private afternoon charter for 24 people on Bagheera, one of the historic sailboats. The weather was ideal and the sailing experience was marvelous! Our group thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the few who were worried about seasickness did just fine (with an anti-nausea med) as the sail was very smooth. The crew was friendly and kind.
What a gorgeous way to get out on the water and experience Portland’s coastline!"

"Great company! On a trip to visit my wife's grandfather last fall, we went to explore the Portland Marina area. while checking out a few shops & restaurants, we ran across the Portland Schooner Company. This was my first visit and I thought it would be cool to take her grandpa out for a sail for his birthday.
We had a fantastic time! Fairly priced and the ship was beautiful and well maintained, the crew were all very friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Our captain was awesome and narrated throughout the trip, telling us a lot about the landmarks and historical facts about the entire area. the group participation with raising the sails and a little random trivia and history of our ship was pretty cool too.
We did the 2 hour sail on Casco Bay, The shoreline was beautiful with the rocky coast, lighthouses, abundance of lobster traps, etc. We also got to see a lot of sea life, fish, sea birds and my favorites were the many seals swimming around, I'm 59 years old and have never seen a seal outside of a zoo or seaworld type place. it was so cool to see them in their natural habitat!
This was an incredible add to our memories and I would highly recommend sailing with Portland Schooner Company!"

"This was such a great way to spend the afternoon!! You can bring whatever drinks and food you want on board and that was such a nice plus. We brought cups and wine and it was awesome. The captains really get you involved in setting the sails (if you want) and that was a really cool experience. Other than that they just let you vibe, no speaker telling you what you’re looking at. However, they are happy to answer questions and walked around to check in with everyone. Whole crew was so nice and welcoming. Best of all, there is a bathroom on board!! I loved the BYOB element and everyone on board was super nice. We had a blast!"
