Best rec center in each county?
What are the best rec centers for one day of swimming with kids in each county? Or just the best in general? I’ve been to some great ones but made the mistake of not noting which were the best. Now I want to impress some out-of-towners and I’m coming up blank.

Which is less crowded: EOS, VASA, or Rec Center?
I’d unfortunately have to go before 8 or after 5 so I know it’s gonna be decently crowded no matter what, but which is best for weightlifting?
Pool Temperature
Competition pool can be cool; Orem Rec might be warmer if you prefer. :thermometer:
Youth Lifeguards
Plenty of lifeguards on duty for safety. :guardsman:

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary

Some minor drawbacks include a cooler competition pool temperature and the need to be mindful of closing times.
"10-2025
Overall this is a very nice rec center.
Did not like:
The competition pool was quite cold (maybe 80 or less). The showers alternated between too hot and too cold without changing the temperature.
The Orem rec center pool was more comfortable for me (I like 82-83 temp water)."

"Seriously, we have so much fun here! We don’t live in Utah, but we visit Provo Rec every time we come into Utah to see family!! This time the outdoor slides and wave pool were completed and up and running!!! Indoors they have a floating river, rock climbing, lap swimming, hot tub, kiddie play pool, dive pool, instruction pool. Outdoors they have a covered area (thank you!!), wave pool, water slides and another kiddie play pool. There are so many youth lifeguards, you’ll be safe no matter where you go! The changing room is for families… with private rooms for showering, changing and using the toilet. If you need a lock for your locker, they will be happy to provide you one in exchange for your license.
I haven’t mentioned the gym… because I didn’t look around up there, but my teen boys loved it. Also basketball courts… and much more. For only $5.50 for the day!!!"

"The facilities seem to be kept in good shape and cleaned regularly. The service is usually fine except for the small number of apathetic young adults.
A word of advice, though, get out of the building before they close for the night because if you are changing a diaper in the locker room even one minute after closing the life guards will pitch an absolute hissy fit."
