What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Queens College is praised for its beautiful, well-kept campus and vibrant student life, with numerous clubs and activities. However, many reviews highlight significant administrative inefficiencies and difficulties in accessing student services, which can detract from the overall experience.
"It was a pleasant experience. The grounds are well kept. I was a a field trip with my 1st Graders to see the Harlem Hoopsters Basketball team interactive performance... They were very entertaining with their tricks & antics. The space was crowded & loud, but the children enjoyed themselves 🏀"
Lynn E. Brice (HarlemzFlyGirl)
"My program was full of fantastic faculty and fellow students. Unfortunately, this institution is rampant with administrative incompetence and inefficiency. Seeking basic service is consistently unnecessarily and avoidably difficult, especially for problems that should be regular functions of a higher education institution (as someone who has worked for a decade in higher education). I graduated one month ago from a graduate program and my degree still hasn't been conferred even electronically on my transcript, stonewalling me from being able to pursue further certifications necessary for job applications. I am told "this happens every year" by fellow students and alums. Expect to sideline your education to navigate slipshod, bureaucratic systems and staff who act more annoyed than helpful when seeking help."

"Id give a zero If I could. Overcharge you for tution for courses you're not enrolled in.. No one available to answer you on the phone and if you come in person no one can assist you either. The person who does epermits works from home so no one can help in person..Bursar doesnt answer phone calls but in person there are many people in the office Econ dept has ocfice hours 12-2 mon and wed . came on wed at 1 pm and wad told the guy whose hours are 12-2 only 2 days a week is out to lunch for an hour and 15 mins. The advising center doesnt take phone calls or walk ins says by appt only but you cant even make an appt online. UNBELIEAVABLE I wasted my time off before work to come here and go to 3 departments and not get a single resolution. QC is beyond understaffed they are just unwilling to help anyone these days even if ppl are i the office they wont take a call or assist you. It is a shame to see what has happened to what used to be a great institution. The only reason im finishing my degree here is because my dad graduated here back when the school still actually existed."
